Getting started with Recipe Tamer

Welcome to Recipe Tamer! 

Here are some basic things to get you started.

Add some recipes

The first thing you'll want to do is get some recipes in here, since it's not very useful otherwise.

Create a new recipe

To create a new recipe from scratch, click the Recipes button at the top of the page and then choose Create a Recipe. This will take you to the Recipe Editor, where you can type in your new recipe.

Upload a recipe

If you have a photo or a scan of a printed recipe, you can upload it.

Import a recipe from a Web site

If your favorite recipes are already on the Web somewhere, you can probably import them using one of our import tools,

Find your recipes

Once your recipes are in Recipe Tamer you'll need to find them. 

• The search box at the top of every page lets you start your search from wherever you are.
• You can get to the recipe search page by clicking the Recipe Tamer logo at the top left of every page, or, if you like more steps, by opening the recipe book on the top menu and selecting "Your recipes."

Make some friends

If you have friends who are also using Recipe Tamer, you can become friends with them in Recipe Tamer, making it easier to share recipes with each other.

If you have real-world friends who aren't using Recipe Tamer. you can tell them about it.
